Heading on down to old Melbourne town

I’m heading down to Melbourne today for the World Internet Summit which I’m hoping will be a four day information assault on my Internet Markety brain. It’s more likely to be 30-50% selling dreams and products to IM n00bs (not that I’m a grizzled veteran by any means). In itself, that’s not such a bad thing as it’ll give me an insight into what uninitiated business people are looking to get out of the internet as well as how to sell stuff to them.
A good chunk will be devoted to networking and finding out what other folk are getting up to. I’ve already arranged to meet up with a few people and it’ll be interesting to see who else will be there.
I should have access to the net whilst in Melbourne so if I get the time and the inclination I’ll use this blog as a journal of the going’s on of the Summit as well as what it’s causing me to think and feel. I anticipate my brain will start spinning early on and it’ll probably take a good two weeks for it to whir down to a normal level of agitation.
